IBKC is one of the best day-brighteners around, because 1. Kittens and 2. Laurie is such an engaging photographer and storyteller. She caught up with one of her former foster kittens now that he’s grown up, and he’s a total Baldwin with a wonderful, mischievous expression. Gorgeous cat, gorgeous photos. Love IBKC.

My family has a trope: “That’s not for little kids.” I think it’s from a time when a close childhood friend’s evil stepfather had made her watch Full Metal Jacket, as though it would teach an 11-year-old rural Midwestern child anything but how to have nightmares.
My dad says it now almost exclusively about things he’s surprised I’m interested in, since I’m … a little kid, get it? Dad humorz? The last thing we said it about was coffee.
